Thiago Alves was bigger and stronger than he was and he beat him. GSP is well rounded thats why he could hang with Silva. GSP is big for 170 but he makes weight you can’t blame him for that.. IF GSP could get on top which is very possible I think he could win.. Wouldn’t knock him out or anything but I bet he could win..
i think jardine should of fought anderson why? well evans, jardine, and forrest are my faves lhw. but even i can see that forrest is overrated. jardine actually is unorthodox he may give silva some type of promblem even jardine would of probadly got k.oed but not as bad as forrest. all i can say is saying keith jardine can beat anderson silva is more convincing than saying forrest griffin can beat anderson lol XD

Cote has a real good chin, but if Silva wanted to he could have put him away. I doubt he was playing conservative because of Cote’s power. Everywhere on the feet Silva outclasses him and I sincerely doubt Silva’s kryptonite is his opponents power. I really don’t think Silva cares if people punch him, hence his fight antics. He wants people to throw punches at him, no worries about power. Cote just isn’t on his level.
Also I disagree that Sanchez is scary for Penn, really no one who fights at 155 is gonna beat Penn. As for Silva being bored with his previous fights, I don’t think so, I think with Cote, Cote just has a really good chin and Silva played it conservative so as to not risk getting clipped- he was dominating – I don’t understand how anyone can critisize that performance at all. Leites was falling to the ground, why should the champ risk it all for a loser like that, still don’t think it was boredom
I don’t understand people who think GSP has any place in a fight with Silva. Unlike Penn, GSP has done nothing in his career to indicate he can fight guys who are considerably bigger than him. GSP has basically become a gunshy wrestler who really doesn’t have devastating finishing ability at all. If Dan Henderson an Olympic wrestler with 10x the chin and MUCH heavier hand than GSP can’t beat Silva then how does anyone think GSP has a chance, if they fight he’s gettin hurt, real bad.
yeah thats true, and demian maia, that would be awesome it would be rediclous thou if it ends up like thales fight, id say gsp if he ever goes up to 185, his debut should be against demian maia, it would be a crazy fight, a battle of opposites.
I have Silva down as #1 now. Fedor needs a really impressive win now to scramble back to thr #1 spot on my private list that nobody gives a s**t about.
silva wud wreck gsp on the stand up, gsp might take him down twice but that will be it, silva’s takedown defense is awesome.and even if gsp does take him down, silva is a black belt in bjj he can actully make gsp tap/ ( i love gsp but i dont think he can beat silva

kenny florian had a stupid strategy indeed,why trying to fight like gsp,when with all the respect,ur not in the same league them him,fight like kenny florian,but bj penn was just too good for him,no excuses.
