whats really sad about these muscular fitness gurus is this= Schaub took 4 days off after he left the house, trained every day after that for cardio and everything else, getting ready for Roy. Roy only trained 2 days! the rest of the time he probably just ate Burger King And Roy trains by himself! Schaub trained with ATT Just goes to show that you dont have to have a well toned body to fight. just sad when a muscular guy like Schaub who trained with ATT loses to a fat guy with 2 days of training
so it’s okay for Brock Lesnar to use his size, weight and strength to his advantage? BUT ITS NOT OKAY FOR ROY NELSON TO DO IT?? Because he’s not cut out of stone??
I know he has, I’ve been watching him ever since he fought Arlovski, and I know of his IFL days. But to only train a little bit against someone who trains with Rashad Evans and Shane Carwin for the past 1-2 years and specifically for him for 4 months is the point.
But Roy has also been at this for a long time; I guess he is use to fighting without the camps; he was talking about that early in TUF. How he hardly found time to train because he was helping his friends and stuff.
Kind of hard to say that because he uses his weight a lot also. He could be maybe if he loses his gut and drops to Light Heavyweight but I don’t see it happening. He loves who he is.
Wow, Roy Nelson’s talent level is off the charts. If he seriously trained only twice for that fight then he’s like a heavyweight Bj Penn. Brendan Schaub’s training camp was like 4 months, and he got knocked out standing.

people were surprised by the power of roy’s knockout.
but the fact is if you lug around a 70 pounds of fat on your torso 24/7 you develop very strong torso and hip muscles.
strong hip/torso muscles=strong punches
i think roy’s next fight should be with mir.
roy beat mir in 2003 in a grappling tournament so i would like to see if he can beat mir in an mma match.

I know he is, I seen him from IFL before TUF.

Roy beat Frank Mir at no gi jiu jitsu in 2003. The video is here on youtube. Mir gassed out and Roy beat him on points

Might not be the good idea with Big country – he has muscles beneath the protective layer of fat, so the body punches will not affect this guy

Now think how good this guy could be if he trained even more and was with a camp. He would be very dangerous in my opinion.

Roy image is the fat guy, but he could be a fantastic fighter if he gained muscles over fat…

The guy has won me over as a fighter

so what is that logo on his hat? I know it can’t be Strikeforce logo but it is really similar looking.
