roy hates florida because back when he fought Arlovski in EliteXC, the Florida Athletic Commission ‘s ref robbed Roy of the fight, Roy was dominating on the ground, and advancing positions, but kept getting stood up. and thus, The Pitbull’s superior striking overcame Roy and he lost. Could have been the Athletic Commission, could have been the sorry ass rigging of EliteXC’s fights.
Roy nelson is a very high lvl bjj black belt he even beat frank mir in a grappling contest.. Ive gained alot of respect for him and i hope he wins the title

Roy’s growing on me. Comes across as a likeable guy in interviews (not on TUF) and he can fight.
I think he does work hard just like the rest of the fighters, that comment he made was probably tongue in cheek directed at his naysayers. For someone who’s supposed to be ‘out of shape’ he does have ridiculously good skills and cardio.
Look up his fight vids against Andrei Arlovski and Jeff Monson that were both held in Florida. Watch for the standup in the Arlovski fight and keep score on the Monson fight
He begans to get dominated in the HW division I say join the biggest loser just to lose enought weight to make the 205 weight limit in the light heavyweight division. I think he should have some success he wont win the belt in the HW division but he will have somewhat success. I think he has more of chance of winning a title if he drops to LHW.
