masagatti is terrible. Off the top of my head, he stopped Hendricks vs Soddollah too early, he stopped rothwell velasquez too early, kampman vs daley too early, and now he just decides to not stop a fight when he should. He fucking sucks
My friends and I were talking about Kizer wondering if he is intentionally keeping the best refs out to skew MMA victories. It just seems rather odd that he continually sticks up for Mazagatti, when it’s obvious to EVERYONE that he’s a horrible ref.
1. hamill took about 30 unanswered shots to the head with jones in full mount, about 15 shots past what normaly gets gets fights stopped in that position
2. he was not warned for that type of elbow
3.they didnt take a point away they gave jones the disqualification
4.they didnt give hamill to recover like they do with eye pokes or knees to a downed opponent, or a groin shot
5.a dq was not warranted for all of the reasons i listed
keith looks like a cool and relaxed guy, im sure he will be champ one day he has a lot of potential, and i definetely like his attitude, u win some u lose some
He is beast but I don’t think he will get a title shot any time soon I see them throw probably Forrest or Lil Nog his way first… Maybe even Ryan Bader if he beats Jardine.
Mazagatti can’t referee a fight to save his life, and Dana White will say that. For one the fight should have been stopped when Hamill wasn’t doing anything, two Mazagatti should have given him a warning before taking a point away, and three it should have been a no contest or a Jon Jones victory. Anybody who saw that fight knows that Bones Jones dominated and deserved a win. I wouldn’t be surprised if he got a title shot very soon, he deserves it and he’s only 22, he’s a beast.
@timjones……yes they could have justified stopping the fight. Hamill was not “really” intelligently defending himself. Anyone who sees this fight again knows that JJ was kicking this guys butt and in a bad way.
Lesnar complained that he kept tapping out on Mir, yet Mazzagatti kept the fight going. No excuse! Now we have Kizer sticking up for the guy. This is insane. I’m not worried about JJ because he will see much better days. We ALL know who won that fight and I’m sure Dana knows too.

Mazzagatti goes over to Matt Hamill and asks…Are you done?
The man had blood in his eyes and is deaf…of course he isn’t going to say anything.
Someone gets kneed in the face while they are grounded or kicked in the balls, they get some time before you call the fight.
With the blood in his eyes, Matt Hamill was basically Helen Keller with a separated shoulder.
I think if it weren’t for the shoulder, Hamill would have kept fighting. He has too much heart to quit from a lousy cut.

And then of course you have Big John McCarthy who is by far the best ref ever and why is Kizer keeping out of reffing in the UFC? It makes you wonder.

when a fighter goes about 10 strikes to the head without fighting back the fight is called.
hamill went about 30 shots
with jones in full mount
rothwell takes a few unanswered shot from velasquez while standing up and the fight is called
yet hamil takes about 30 unanswered shots while full mounted and it isnt called?

Throwing your hands to block in desparation and getting lucky enough to block one punch is NOT intelligent defense.
