Has anyone noticed on UFC, the fighter who has the most votes on the site has been winning their matches?

Since UFC 104 Machida had the most votes than Shogun and won the most shitty way, 105 Randy had control the whole time so that’s bad on Vera’s part, 106 Forrest had the most votes on Tito, and 107 BJ had the win on Diego and also TUF 10 Finale Roy and Hamil (by DQ on Jones which was shitty also) had also won their matches. Because now even though IDK what Thiago’s chances are but people are voting that Rashad is goin to win. . . . Tell me what you guys think. . . .

It wouldn’t surprise me, UFC is becoming more of a show, less of a sport.

haha of course these people have the most votes, your talking about BIG NAME fighters fighting, underdogs. Machida champion, Couture legend of the sport, and former champion, Forrest peoples favorite, Penn champion. Of course these fighters are going to have more people voting on them to win. Chuck Liddell was picked to win against Jardine, Rampage, Evans, and he lost all of them.

they vote on the fighters that are more popular and all ufc fans know. everybody votes for the more well known fighter because most fans don’t know lesser known fighters that are just as good. the fighters are popular because they proved their skills in the octagon, but that doesn’t necessarly means theyre better.

If you’re suggesting that the votes influence the judging, I think you’re on the wrong track. The officials aren’t employed or assigned by the UFC, but by the various state athletic commissions where the venue takes place. And any way, people voting for Penn didn’t cause him to kick open a gash on Sanchez’s head; people voting for Nelson didn’t cause him to KO Brandon; people voting for Hamill didn’t cause Jones to have a brain fart and start throwing illegal shots. But, there’s a reason why some fighters are favored and others aren’t. Machida had better performances leading into his match with Shogun than Shogun did; Brandon had four fights while Nelson was a former IFL champ with much more experience and skill; BJ Penn had every edge on Sanchez except maybe cardio; Hamill was more well known than Jones. Most fans, to be honest, aren’t educated enough about the fight game to vote for anyone other than the fighter they know best.
